Saxophone Transcriptions

I believe transcribing is one of the most efficient methods of learning music, and have made the most progress in my own playing after immersing myself in the solos of my favorite saxophonists. Playing along with recordings from memory allows you to absorb that musician's vocabulary, tone, technique, phrasing, tuning, dynamics, and sense of time.

There is no substitute for transcribing on your own, and I encourage anyone looking to expand their musical vocabulary to transcribe often. Below are a few of my own transcriptions of some of the best saxophonists in the world. You are welcome to download them directly from this page. Enjoy.
